Daily Prayer: Hurricane Milton Relief

Almighty God,

We come before You with hearts heavy and burdened, lifting up the people of Florida as they endure the fury of Hurricane Milton. You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and we know that even the winds and waves obey You. Stretch forth Your mighty hand, O Lord, and calm the storms that rage over the land. Let Your power be known as You shield the vulnerable and provide refuge for those in danger. Be a strong fortress for the weak, a shelter for the displaced, and a mighty protector for all those who find themselves in harm's way.

In the midst of this chaos, we cry out for Your mercy, O God. Do not let harm come to Your children. Let Your angels stand guard over every home, every family, and every soul in the path of this storm. Strengthen the weary and those who feel overwhelmed by fear and uncertainty. Breathe courage into the hearts of the anxious, and bring hope to those who feel like they have none. Guide the hands of first responders, emergency workers, and volunteers who are working tirelessly to bring aid and relief. Empower them with endurance, wisdom, and compassion as they serve those in need.

We pray for the healing and rebuilding that will follow in the wake of the storm. Let Your grace be the foundation upon which they rebuild their lives. Bring communities together in love and support, and may Your presence be felt powerfully in every moment of their struggle and recovery. Let Your light shine in the darkest places, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, reign over their hearts even in the midst of the storm’s destruction.

Lord, we trust in Your sovereignty. You are the rock upon which we stand, even when the earth trembles and the waters rise. Fill the hearts of those affected with faith that You are with them, and that You will carry them through this trial. We surrender all to You, knowing that Your love never fails and Your promises remain true. In the mighty and compassionate name of Jesus, we call upon You and place our trust in Your unfailing love.
